Main Aims/Objectives

This course is studied various techniques Infrastructures. It is intended to draw students´ attention to the fact that the architecture and Urbanism depend on various systems and infrastructures that contribute to the hygiene, safety and comfort of people. Are addressed from the perspective of various infrastructures to acquaint students with the corresponding compositions, methods of operation and their constraints.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Infrastructures will be studied various techniques, including Networks and Public Prediais Water Distribution and Wastewater Drainage, stormwater networks, gas networks, networks of central heating. Brief approach to home automation / smart buildings.

Skills to be acquired

Knowing the compositions, operating modes and constraints of various infrastructures, including those linked to public networks and Prediais Distribution of Water and Wastewater Drainage, stormwater networks, gas networks, networks of central heating.

Teaching Procedures

The course "Technical Infrastructure" education has a weekly four hours. Two of these hours are formal lecturing. The remaining two hours are dedicated to solving and performing work

Programme

PART I - SYSTEMS PUBLIC LAND AND WATER DISTRIBUTION

CHAPTER 1 - GENERAL DESIGN - Materials. Use devices; degree of comfort; Flows snapshots; Flows calculation; coefficient concurrency.
CHAPTER 2 - LAND OF WATER NETWORK - Flow rate calculation; hydraulic sizing; Routes of building water plumbing, installation of interior plumbing, installation of outdoor plumbing, corrosion phenomena.
CHAPTER 3 - ELEMENTS OF NETWORK - Plumbing flowmeters and valves; Location counters; gross Reservoirs, pumping facilities; sobrepressoras facilities.

PART II - SYSTEMS AND PUBLIC LAND DRAINAGE OF SEWAGE

CHAPTER 1 - GENERAL DESIGN - Separation systems; Identification of plumbing, ventilation primary, secondary ventilation, drainage of domestic sewage, stormwater drainage.
CHAPTER 2 - BASIC ELEMENTS FOR SIZING - Flow rates of discharge; coefficient concurrency; Determination of precipitation; Curves intensity / duration / frequency; payback period; runoff coefficient.
CHAPTER 3 - ELEMENTS OF NETWORKS - Extensions discharge (flow rates calculation; Scaling hydraulic and sanitary; Sequence sections; layout; Connect extensions of discharge); Extensions ventilation; Guttering and guttering, down pipes, columns ventilation.

Evaluation Type

Throughout the semester, students perform tests and / or work on the subject taught in lectures, these works being developed and discussed in classes.
