Main Aims/Objectives
Tends present that the transmission of knowledge in the area of the Civil Engineering should be continuous and gradual along the course, and adjusted to the course of Architecture, the approached matters allow the planning of the structure in the architecture project that the students develop, considering her behaviour, location and physical space that the same occupies in the building.
Specific Aims/Objectives
Obtaining of knowledge for better understanding of the importance and operation of the structural elements, that allow to the students better to integrate the same ones in the architecture projects that they develop, defining the drawing of those structural elements, as well as the knowledge of the physical space that the same ones occupy in the building, taking advantage of the aesthetics of those structural elements.
Skills to be acquired
Through the matters to approach, the students acquire knowledge that allow them defining and execute the find at first of measure the dimensions of the structural elements, with different construction materials, assisting to the combinations of the actions regulate, essential data to have in bill in the execution of a project of Architecture, in way to best integrate the structure in the same.
Teaching Procedures
The approach of the matter is held through a theoretical introduction, with or without the support of projection equipment, which is followed by the practical exercises application of the same and application of the matter on a project that the student has developed the semester earlier in other disciplines.
Programme
1- Pre-dimensioning of lightened blocks slabs of prestressed beams.
1.1- Characteristics of slabs of prestressed beams.
1.2- Realization of fundamental combinations and frequent combinations .
1.3- Verification of the safety in relation to the states limits latest - Determination of the maximum bending moment positive acting (Msd) and of the maximum transverse forces acting (Vsd), and compare them with the bending moment resistant (Mrd) and with forces transverse resistant (Vrd), respectively.
1.4- Verification of the safety in relation to the states limits use - Determination of the maximum bending moment positive actinf (Mf) and of the arrow in the long term (f lp) and compare them with the bending moment resistant (Mfctk) and regulated arrow maximum (f max), respectively.
2- Pre-dimensioning of floor slabs, ceiling and roof, and beams, in reinforced concrete.
2.1- Characteristics of slabs and beams in reinforced concrete.
2.2- Voltages in linear elastic behavior materials in pure bending.
2.3- Verification of security in linear elastic materials in pure bending .
2.4- Verification of safety for ultimate limit states.
2.5- Deformations in bending. Verification of limit state of deformation, according to the "Eurocode 2 - Design of concrete structures Part 1-1: General rules and rules for buildings".
3- Pre-dimensioning of slabs of stairs.
3.1- Characteristics of slabs of stairs.
3.2- Form of the stairs.
3.3- Materials used in the construction of stairs.
3.4- Pre-dimensioning of slabs of stairs in reinforced concrete.
3.5- Design, location supports and loads distribution.
3.6- Verification of safety for ultimate limit states.
3.7- Deformations in bending. Verification of limit state of deformation, according to the "Eurocode 2 - Design of concrete structures Part 1-1: General rules and rules for buildings".
Evaluation Type
In the continuous evaluation it is had in bill the assiduity to the classes, the students´ acting in the accomplishment of the exercises weekly proposed and the accomplishment of two written tests.
Teaching Resources
The introduction of the matter is accomplished, with, or without, the support of projection equipment. They will be to the students´ disposition in Moodle 13-14 of the University Lusíada elements written regarding the matter teach in the theoretical classes as well as statements of exercises of application of the matter that will be accomplished or in the theoretical classes or in the practical classes.
