Main Aims/Objectives
Knowledge and understanding of the main concepts of the sociological approach of International Relations, as well as analysis of the major theories and ideas on international relations today.
Specific Aims/Objectives
Teaching of key concepts and theoretical perspectives of contemporary international society, as well as analysis of case studies in order to prepare the student to perform tasks of analyst in the area of International Relations.
Skills to be acquired
Acquisition of intellectual skills on key concepts, theories and methods of analysis of contemporary international relations in order to develop innovative and critical arguments about political phenomena, social and economic factors that characterize the current international society.
Teaching Procedures
Lectures, which combines the class to explain and debate on the matter, with text analysis and subsequent discussion.

Evaluation Type
The evaluation system is carried out according to the rules defined in the General Regulations Assessment of Knowledge Universities Lusíada. In this sense, it is taken into account ongoing evaluation, including attendance, participation, completion of work, quizzes, etc..
