Main Aims/Objectives
To understand the psychological assessment both as a discipline and process;
To understand the diversity of methods and techniques used in psychological assessment and its adequacy of contexts;
To understand the phases of psychological assessment;
To consider about ethical concerns involved in psychological assessment.
Specific Aims/Objectives
To understand the historic evolution of psychological assessment;
To understand the goals, theoretical foundations and practical considerations of the psychological assessment process;
To understand the process of psychological assessment;
To become acquainted with assessment instruments of different domains of functioning;
To develop skills of administration assessment tests;
To acknowledge ethical questions related with psychological assessment.
Skills to be acquired
At the end, students should be able to: observe and describe human behavior; interpret collected data and relate it with client?s functioning; present clear judgement about the advantages and disadvantages of the use of tests in psychological assessment; select assessment instruments according to the psychological process to assess and context.

Two written tests; Final exam.
