2. Understanding the different stages of a management process ;

4. Knowing the functional areas of business;
5. Acquire critical analysis capacity.

1. Understanding the organization and management;
2. Understanding the different organizational theories;
3. Understanding management in the global environment;
4. Knowing concepts and functions of management: planning, organizing, leading and controlling;
5. Knowing performance indicators and monitoring;
6. Knowing the main terminology management;
7. Knowing the current trends in management.
Skills to be acquired
1. Acquire basic management skills: planning, organizing, leading and controlling a process;
2. Identify and understand organizational models used in business;
3. Use of technology in decision-making in management;
4. Make a critical analysis of a case study or a scientific paper;
5. Acquire skills of management control;
6. Knowing and calculating key indicators of financial performance, economic and management.
Teaching Procedures
1. Theoretical and practice classes using the expository method with appropriate audiovisual resources;
2. Case studies discussion and analysis;
3. Tutorial classes to answer questions and case studies;
4. PC / tablet ´s in some tutorial classes for analytical resolution of management problems.
5. During the semester there will be a visit to a company.

Evaluation Type
Continuous evaluation for students with frequency to the lessons (70%) by performing two tests.
Evaluation by final global test at the end of the semester with the following weighting:
Continuous Evaluation - 60%
Final global test - 40%.
