Main Aims/Objectives

sta course aims to provide students with a basic vision, but integrated, concepts and techniques most widely used in supply chain management, production companies of goods and services.
The course aims to provide students with an understanding of the fundamentals of Supply Chain Management, analyzed the points of strategic and operational view.

Specific Aims/Objectives

It is intended especially reveal the competitive ability of the Supply Chain Management can generate in organizations as well as the perception and analysis of the functioning of organizations, their close relationship with the performance and motivation of their human resources, and reciprocal influences toward the surrounding environment, is local is global.

Skills to be acquired

It is intended that students become able to understand the challenges faced in this area and to be able to recognize ways of confronting and resolving them, being equipped with the basic skills to critically analyze the performance and the company´s operating practices .
They should also become aware of the importance that decisions in this area have contributed in a fundamental way to the overall success of organizations.

Teaching Procedures

The exhibition is supported by the projection of slides with the main theoretical topics developed in class, as well as with solved exercises. The concepts and practices will be exemplified by case studies and questions in class, who have theoretical and practical nature. Students will be called to solve exercises and to analyze and review documents and articles. In the tutorial classes is accompanied by the development of the work providing the framework and rules for their preparation.

Evaluation Type

The evaluation of students in the course will be in accordance with the General of the Lusíada University Knowledge Assessment Regulation, providing continuous evaluation elements two points written and preparation and submission of a job.

Teaching Resources

The data projector is used as a fundamental means of support to the exhibition. Copies with the slides to be projected in the classroom are provided in advance to students, so that they can form the basis for notes and lecture notes, allowing for greater attention and participation, and simultaneously serving as guidance for the study. It strongly encouraged the use of bibliography indicated, available in the library, as well as research and development topics on the Internet.
