Main Aims/Objectives

Encourage creativity through improved graphic expression, analyzing and investigating new techniques and perfecting those already gained. Develop observation skills, the skill and knowledge of the design act and sensitivity to aesthetic values. Using the drawing as an indispensable tool for research.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Create conditions for the student to face the act of drawing with agility and awareness exercising manual and mental instruments to understand techniques, systems, codes, models and precessos graphic and plastic representation in the construction and articulation of images. View, design and design thinking to communicate using it as a research tool and implementation of a project, developing the graphics capabilities in its many proposals.

Skills to be acquired

Acquisition of an individual method in drawing. Stimulating research and individualized ability to establish analogies and reitrerpretações in order to use the design tool for the representation process. Develop critical thinking as the basis of the entire trial.

Teaching Procedures

The methodology includes lectures and practices classes. The information and theoretical reflection has in practice their teaching referent. Comparison of individual and collective drawings, and critical analysis of them, bibliographic.

Programme

The course of Fundamentals Communication Drawing should previligiar the various ways to view, interpret, design and create.
The program developed according to a set of two thematic blocks and complementary to matérias. Each block represents a particular aspect of the drawing process, not necessarily in conflict, but complementing so that it is possible to identify the drawing simultaneously in several work proposals.
Communication representation. Ways of looking at various historical forms. Observer and property model (conical perspective). moving observer. Moving object. Values of proportion, scale and function. The body, space, time, movement and rhythm. The human figure, the line and its expressiveness. Esquisso and pure line motion

The act of creation, design and communication. See drawing and create. Figuration / abstraction, real / imaginary. The idea and its developments as graphic and plastic images, modes and attitudes in graphic EXPRESSION.
The drawing as a means and a research tool.

Evaluation Type

For each proposed exercise you specify the mode of the same, the theme aims to develop, duration and delivery date. Regular attendance in class, the delivery of all the work launched under the syllabus and ongoing evaluation, are necessary conditions for the student to be able to approval of the discipline.

Teaching Resources

Teaching and practice of drawing, visual communication is critical, as the theoretical explanation of the represented, so over half show up images of various artists and students work done in previous years, accompanied by visits to exhibitions that are taking place.
