Main Aims/Objectives
Enable students to gain an integrated view of basic and advanced concepts of frequently applied statistical techniques. The concepts and techniques are introduced through examples, intended in this way that students learn through concrete problems.
Specific Aims/Objectives
The student should be able to perform statistical studies and work with diverse distributions of discrete and continuous variables.
Skills to be acquired
It is expected that students become critical users of methods of statistical analysis, with autonomy to apply them in the preparation of decisions.
Teaching Procedures
Theoretical classes and tutorial classes will be given. Theoretical material will be exposed and exercises related to the subject will be solved.

Evaluation Type
Continuous assessment will be taken into account, such as attendance, participation in classes, work, mini-tests, etc., as well as compulsory attendance and final exam.
Teaching Resources
The theoretical-practical classes will be given using computer resources.
Moodle notes and exercises will be available for students, however students are invited to read the recommended bibliography and to carry out the exercises proposed there.
In the evaluations the students can use the scientific calculating machine and use the tables of the distributions studied.
