Main Aims/Objectives

- Knowing the reality of crime and its expression in gender - Understanding genderized circumstances (eg, inequality of opportunity based on gender, marital violence, etc.) and their relationship to the crime - Ability to promote critical analysis of gender discrimination in crime.

Specific Aims/Objectives

- Understand the specifics of the crime in the female.
- Understand the specifics of male victimization.
- Develop a critical stance in relation to gender discrimination.

Skills to be acquired

- Ability to research and integrate information (comprehension, analysis and synthesis)
- Ability to communicate orally (conceptual rigor) and writing (writing of scientific papers)
- Ability to self-criticism

Teaching Procedures

- Oral presentation with a view to deepening theoretical and open discussion with students.
- Active participation of students
- Preparation and discussion by students, a work of deepening one of the issues addressed in the course.
