Main Aims/Objectives
To promote the acquisition of knowledge and understanding of the phenomenon of sexual crime in the bio-psycho-social domains and its critical analysis.
Specific Aims/Objectives
Develop specialized criminological knowledge regarding sexual crime.
To favor the taking of a critical perspective based on the theme.
Skills to be acquired
Research competence / bibliographic research and integration and synthesis capacity.
Analytical and methodological skills in the field of sexual crime.
Interconnection skills between different related topics.
Interpersonal skills of interaction, reflection and self-criticism.
Teaching Procedures
Use of teaching methodologies expositive, demonstrative, interrogative and active. Audio-visual support for content exposition in T / P classes. O.T. will be conducted with the presentation and discussion of topics related to sexual crime, clarification of doubts and support for students´ work.
Programme
1 - Conceptual framework of sexual crime.
Theories about sexual crimes, perpetrators and victims:
-Definitions; typologies; explanatory models.
2-Sexual homicides
3- Violation:
- marital rape;
-violation in first encounters;
- female rape, of the same sex and with different status.
Incestuous crimes:
-Incesto father-daughter;
-Incesto mother-child;
-Other types of intra-family abuse.
Sexual Predators:
- sexual abuse of children;
-pornography;
- sexual trafficking;
- other types of sexual abuse and paraphilia.
6. Prostitution:
- Women and prostitution;
-Prostritution in young women / adolescents;
-Male prostitution.
Evaluation Type
Accomplishment of two written tests and presentation of a paper.
Weighting of elements related to attendance and participation in class.
