Main Aims/Objectives

Domain of legal mechanisms of employment security and flexibility in labour market.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Student should be enabled to understand the systemic forms of precarious employment. He should, also, understand the balance needed of employers and employees rights, mastering the “flexicurity” tecnhiques.

Skills to be acquired

Complicated cases resolution in the field of labor issues .

Teaching Procedures

Theoretical and tutorials classes for discussion and clarification.

Programme

Flexibility entering in the labour market. Forms of precarious employment allowed by Labour Code.
Flexibility during the the employment contract. Working time; retribution; category; functional mobility; the workplace; geographical mobility
Flexibility leaving the labour market. The lay-off; fair ground for dismissals; the maladjustment; disciplinary causes..

Evaluation Type

Thematic sessions expository and paper works done by the students, that should encourage discussion and sharing. The evaluation assumes the presence in classes, as defined in Regulation Assessment, which is essential to pass the final exam. There will be a test during the semester and student’s paper works will be discussed in classes.
