Main Aims/Objectives
Contextualize the Educational Psychology discipline in the context of other specialties of psychology and explore the modalities of psychological consultation in several educational settings. Reflect on the principles that should guide the psychological evaluation within the ecological model and the delineation of preventive and/or remediation intervention projects.
Specific Aims/Objectives
1) Understand the evolution of practices in Educational Psychology
2) Develop scientifically-oriented evaluation skills
3) Develop evidence-based intervention skills
4) Critical analyze of educational intervention projects
Skills to be acquired
1) To study Educational Psychology through ecological approaches.
2) To identify and to apply the speficic characteristics of educational psychological consult.
3) To develop and apply effective psychological strategies in order to evaluate and to implement interventions, considering the multiple agents and contexts.

1.1.General and specific characteristics of psychological education consultation
1.2.From psychological consultation models to consulting models
1.3. Psychoeducational based service: ecological interventions
1.4. Contributions of Developmental Psychology, Developmental Psychopathology and Cognitive Psychology for the practice of Educational Psychology Counseling
2. Guiding principles of the psychological educational evaluation in the ecological model.
2.1. Different assessment formats and their complementarities: formal and informal assessment, and different kinds of tests.
2.2. Ecological assessment tools and their use for assessment of adaptive behavior.
2.3. Project interventions evaluation
3. Assessment and intervention in frequent problems in an educational context - explanatory models and specific techniques:
