Main Aims/Objectives

Develop knowledge about vocational development; Develop skills for career intervention with idifferent audiences and contexts;

Specific Aims/Objectives

1. Understand the notion of vocational development and identify characteristics of vocational development throughout life;
2. Know different models and types of career intervention;
3. Select methods, techniques, strategies of assessment and career intervention taking into account different audiences and contexts;
4. Develop career intervention projects taking into account different audiences and contexts;
5. Train skills of psychological intervention related to career counseling process.

Teaching Procedures

Lessons will be developed based on content exposition, debates among students and case analysis, whether proposed by the teacher or brought by the students themselves. In class will also be worked out and presented projects that are based on the theoretical contents.
Specifically, the lessons will be organized in two main areas: (i) analysis, presentation and discussion of current literature on the discussed subjects and (ii) elaboration of projects. The work will rely on the use of expository methods and projets.

Evaluation Type

The evaluation will be developed based on the ellaboration and presentation of a work / project. Students should propose a project of vocational intervention. This project will be presented in class. In case of disapproval, all syllabus will be subject to examination. The final classification combines the work / project (70%) and the presentation (30%).
