To become familiar with the processes, methodologies and scientific research practices in criminology
To develop scientific research skills in the field of criminology

Specific Aims/Objectives

To promote skills in the planning of research in criminology
To develop skills in terms of research methods and scientific information collection
To promote knowledge in research methodologies applied to criminology
To develop skills in planning, structuring and preparation the dissertation
To promote scientific writing skills

Skills to be acquired

To be able to select a research topic, to search and to select publications in scientific literature databases and in other types of publications
To be able to define the research question and outline the research goals
To be able to choose research methods appropriate to the research question and objectives outlined
To prepare a proposal for a dissertation project plan
