Main Aims/Objectives
To make students aware of the materiality of organized space, emphasizing color as a determining factor in architecture.
To make students aware of the fact that the use of light, color and texture is decisive to produce a feeling of comfort in a given architectural space.
Specific Aims/Objectives
To make the students aware about the influence of color on the human psychism, capable of affecting the performance of professional activity, the sense of comfort and even the function carried in the space.
To make students aware of the importance of the sense of vision in the apprehension of space and the consequent importance of light, color and texture, as determining factors for the physical and psychological well-being of the users.
Skills to be acquired
Understanding of color as a determining element of the psycho-physiological impact on human beings in organized space.
Understanding of color as a factor resulting from social, cultural and ethnic practices.
Ability to evaluate color as a factor for identification of landscape and organized space.
Teaching Procedures
Stimulating the capacity for reflection and exchange of ideas among students. Some works will be proposed, in order to clarify and deepen the relationship between theoretical principles and practice.

The continuous evaluation will be in accordance with the University´s Knowledge Assessment Regulation and will reflect the attendance, punctuality and participation of students, as well as the evaluation grade of two written tests.
