Specific Aims/Objectives
The Urbanism curricular unit proposes an approach to the reality of our cities, using knowledge and mental and cultural instruments based on a temporal exercise in which research, design and application are not aligned. We will develop an exercise that aims to structure the identity and quality of the territory of Angeiras in the Municipality of Matosinhos.
Skills to be acquired
Mastery of knowledge and instruments that encompass the different scales of Architecture and Design, as well as the programmatic areas that constitute it. Teaching Procedures
Classes will cover examples of consolidated cities and emerging cities, motivating the ability to analyze and consequently debate the issues presented. Students will develop theoretical-practical work allowing them to understand the relationship between theory and practice.

Phase 1 - Group Work (until the end of October) - Preparation and objectives:
- Analysis and diagnosis of the territory;
- Characterization of the space. Urban layout - mesh, outdoor spaces for circulation and permanence, infrastructure network;
- Methodological consolidation, analysis criteria and work programming.
