Main Aims/Objectives

The program aims to provide a framework of fundamental notions that enable students to understand the essentials at the level of Public Finance.

Specific Aims/Objectives

In determining the programmatic content, the aim was to provide students with a general framework of Public Finances, with the aim of arousing their interest for up-to-date knowledge of Portuguese Public Finances.

Skills to be acquired

In the course of the course, whenever possible, cases of Portuguese Public Finances are analysed so that the student understands the relevance and timeliness of the taught programme.

Teaching Procedures

In the case of theoretical-practical classes, no distinction is made in principle between theoretical and practical classes, and the participation of students is encouraged either through the promotion of dialogue or through the elaboration of written works.

Evaluation Type

For the purposes of classification, the students´ performance is assessed by means of the attendance and final exams provided for in the RGA of the Lusíada University, but also by a written individual oral exam.
