Main Aims/Objectives

- Identify the main procedural phases and their essential function.
- Knowledge and understanding of the formalism of the common declarative procedure.

Specific Aims/Objectives

- Domain of the procedural formalism of the declarative action in court.
- Counting procedural terms.
- Elaboration of procedural documents.

Skills to be acquired

- At the end of the discipline, students should be able to identify and apply in specific cases the common declarative procedural formalism and dominate procedural acts of each phase of declarative action in court.

Teaching Procedures

- Theoretical analysis of the matter, supplemented with discussion of issues.
- Analysis and interpretation of the applicable legal regime.
- Study of the doctrine and jurisprudence, promoting student participation.
In practical and tutorial classes, the following will be used:
- Application of the matter to specific cases.
- Discussion and resolution of practical cases.
- Analysis of case law.
- Encouraging the research and investigation of the subjects addressed.

1. Phases of the declarative process and essential function of each one.
2. Formalism of the commmon declarative process.

Evaluation Type

- Two written tests (pontos escritos) and a mandatory written examination (prova de frequência escrita).
