- Know and apply the fundamentals of two-dimensional design;
- Master the grammar of two-dimensional representation;
- Be creative and innovative.

Specific Aims/Objectives

-Promote critical awareness and encourage observation skills;
-Foster research and experimentation;
-To become aware of the aesthetic, ethical, social, economic and environmental implications of the designer´s profession;
-Promote interdisciplinarity, professionalism and rigor in the various project phases;
-Use research to consolidate knowledge and creativity;

- Communicate the project with specific verbal and written language.

Skills to be acquired

- Know the differences and affinities between design contexts;
- Know and apply different stages of the design methodology;
- Know and apply several techniques of expression and two-dimensional visual representation;
- Master the ability to organize elements that structure the two-dimensional speech, applying visual codes, signs and design requirements;
- Know your own languages to develop and communicate ideas and concepts, tools for creativity.

Teaching Procedures

Theoretical / Practical classes:
- Exposition and demonstration of the contents through different resources;
- Comparative and reflective analysis, investigation and research based on various projects;
- Experimentation and practical application of content using different proposals;
- Accompanied Study / Tutorial Orientation of students´ work;
- Use of the Moodle and Microsoft Teams platform.

Evaluation Type

The assessment will be carried out in accordance with the General Assessment Regulation and the Exceptional Continuous Assessment Regime of Universidade Lusíada. Of the continuous assessment criteria, in addition to attendance and active participation in classes (information), the assessment will mainly focus on the student´s overall performance: process, execution, presentation and support of the 6 work proposals, visit reports, open classes and other activities/events. The evaluation grade will be materialized in four moments, in the participation in activities and, finally, in the frequency
