Main Aims/Objectives

Encourage creativity through improved graphic expression, analyzing and investigating new techniques and perfecting the already acquired. Develop observation skills, ability and knowledge of the act of drawing and sensitivity to aesthetic values. Using Drawing as an indispensable tool for research.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Create conditions for students to face the act of drawing with agility and mental awareness exercising manuals and tools in order to understand techniques, systems, codes, models and processes of graphic representation and plastic construction and articulation of images. See, design and design thinking to communicate using it as a tool for research and implementation of a project, developing the graphics capabilities in their multiple proposals.

Skills to be acquired

Acquisition of an individual method in drawing. Stimulate research and individualized ability to draw analogies and reitrerpretações towards using the drawing tool to the process of representation. Develop critical thinking as a basis for all experimentation.

Teaching Procedures

The methodology includes lectures and practical classes. The information and theoretical reflection has in practice their teaching related. Comparison of individual and collective drawings, and critical analysis thereof, bibliographic research.

Programme

Drawing collects and summarizes the relationship between images of nature, art and science with the meaning and significance of a subjective catch, announcing the fate of
transformations of nature and of man, as expressions of power

The program is developed according to a set of thematic and additional blocks of, essential to the mastery of the discipline graphic materials studied in coexistence, although, for operational reasons, each of the exposed sequence constitutes the core aggregator treat in each periods. The observation / perception of three-dimensionality and two-dimensionality.

Values ​​of proportion, scale and function. Application and importance of systems or codes of representation to determine and figure the third dimension. Analysis and representation of objects from the Bauhaus workshops.
The recognition of three-dimensional confrontation with bidimensionalide. Matter, form, texture. Study of color. Analysis of the influence of color on objects and flat shapes. Study of its transformation: light / dark, full / empty, texture (s) surface (s). Material nature, shape and feel. Analysis of surfaces, chromatic effects. Theories of composition.

Evaluation Type

For each exercise you specify the same mode, the objectives to develop the theme, duration and date of delivery. Regular attendance in class, delivery of all work undertaken under the discipline and continuous evaluation program are necessary conditions for the student to be enabled to approval of the discipline.

Teaching Resources

Teaching and practice of design, visual communication is critical, as the theoretical explanation of the principal, so throughout the semester are shown various images of various artists, accompanied by visits to exhibitions that are being undertaken.
