Main Aims/Objectives

O1. Consolidate and master the design methodology;
O2. Know and apply the fundamentals of three-dimensional design;
Promote critical awareness and encourage observation skills.
O3. Dominant the grammar of three-dimensional representation;
O4. Know how to technically communicate the project;
Promote research and experimentation.
O5. Building awareness of the professional context.
Broaden the theoretical and practical view of students on the activity of the designer.

Specific Aims/Objectives

OE1. Understand the projects in relation to the conditions of materialization and production;

OE4. Development and rigorous presentation of three-dimensional projects on a human scale;

C.1 Master the different stages of the design methodology: diagnose problems, define objectives, treat data, generate and evaluate alternatives, configure solutions and communicate results.

Teaching Procedures

Theoretical/Practical Sessions:
-Exposition and demonstration of CU contents supported by audio-visual resources, bibliography and webgraphy;
-Comparative analysis of and reflection on Project applied to Design for classroom discussion, and development of 4 theoretical ex.;?Experimentation and application of CU contents through 4 practical ex.
Tutorials:
-Indiv. orientation and discussion of theor. and practical ex;
-Use of the Moodle platform for making CU contents and resources available.

Evaluation Type

Assessment will take into account student attendance, participation and commitment in class discussions (10%), execution and presentation of 4 practical exercises (60%) and development of 4 theoretical exercises (30%)
The practical component will be assessed by exercises, argued consistently and substantiated by appropriate theoretical information.
The theoretical component will be centred on research related to course contents of which ex.
