Main Aims/Objectives

In this course of Innovation Management students may achieve a deep knowledge on innovation for a sustainable model of development and all the aspects related to strategy and the development of innovation processes.

Specific Aims/Objectives

At the end of the course unit the learner is expected to be able to unsderstand what is innovation, how it may used for the building of a sustainable model of development. They also would be able to desgn a business plan managing processes of innovation within the company/organisation.

Skills to be acquired

Students are expected to develop the following skills:
- Knowledge about innovation strategic options related to new markets and new technologies, and the processes of development of new products, services and manufacturing processes of production.
- capacities of analysis and decision;.
- capacities to develop teamwork.

Teaching Procedures

Classes have a theoretical component in terms of the explanation of theories and concepts and a practical component in terms of the analysis and discussion of documents and videos and case studies.

I - Innovation
Concept, categories. The link between innovation and sustainability.
The Green Deal and its influence into innovation.

II - The design of a strategy of innovation. New costumers and new technologies.

III - The development of new Products

IV - The development of new services

V - The development of new manufacturing processes. Web 4.0 and Industry.

Evaluation Type

Assessment is based on two written tests and the participation in class, namely presentation and discussion of documents and case studies.
