Main Aims/Objectives

Development of a research project, action research, or intervention in the field of criminology.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Development of a scientific topic in Criminology based on the theoretical and empirical knowledge produced to date.

Learning research and action skills in the criminological field.

Skills to be acquired

Development of research methods and data analysis;
Learning essential scientific research skills;
Learning skills for reviewing scientific literature;
Designing a research or intervention project.

Teaching Procedures

Guidance, support, and discussion sessions for the development of the various phases of the individual work to be carried out by students.

Programme

The curricular program consists of monitoring and guiding the planning process for individual projects. This process should culminate in a written report that includes the project´s objectives, the theoretical framework defined based on the scientific literature review, the methodology, and the procedures to be developed.

Evaluation Type

A written report carried out by the student-researcher; presentation of the report in an oral examination (following the applicable specific regulations).
