Main Aims/Objectives

Promote knowledge and skills in developing a research plan (RP) in Clinical Psychology (CP).

Specific Aims/Objectives

Understand a research plan as a process of informed decision-making;
Promote the integration of theoretical, conceptual, methodological, and ethical aspects in responding to specific questions;
Develop a research plan;

Skills to be acquired

Question phenomena and define them within appropriate paradigms and theoretical-conceptual frameworks.

Teaching Procedures

Teaching methodologies will focus on process guidance, critical reading of scientific articles, brainstorming, group discussion of students´ research plans (at each stage of development), group work, and providing feedback to each student at each stage of their research plans

Programme

1. Research questions—characteristics and formulation process.
2. Literature review;
3. Definition of variables;
4. Formulation of hypotheses.
5. Methodology: Participants, assessment instruments, data collection methods and techniques.
6. Data analysis methods and techniques.
7. Management of bibliographic references.
7. Project management: Timeline - Temporal distribution of research plan tasks.

Evaluation Type

Assessment will be based on the written and oral presentation of the research plan to be developed by each student throughout the semester. In addition, each student must have a minimum attendance rate of 70%
