Main Aims/Objectives

This course unit aims to develop skills in psychological assessment, consultation, and the provision of mental and behavioral health services in educational settings, within the framework of multi-tiered systems of support. It also seeks to promote the application of a systematic problem-solving model as the foundation for these professional activities, the use of evidence-based practices, and practices aligned with the ethical standards of psychology.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Understand and apply methods for collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, considering ecological and cultural factors.
Acquire knowledge of consultation models and strategies, and develop skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Apply knowledge of child development, mental and behavioral health to implement and evaluate interventions.
Make informed and ethical decisions in psychological assessment and intervention.
