Main Aims/Objectives
This course aims to promote the acquisition of knowledge about the concept of learning disabilities (LD) and its evolution over time. It also seeks to enhance the knowledge about the assessment of learning disabilities and the appropriate intervention.
Specific Aims/Objectives
Students should master the conceptual and methodological tools necessary for its intervention as educational psychologists in promoting differentiated educational responses in an educational context.
Skills to be acquired
Identify LD, intervention strategies and any necessary referrals due to the identified problems
Know and distinguish the role of different actors in the educational assessment and intervention in LD
Know how to administer, quote and interpret the results of standardized tests and measures based on the curriculum for the assessment of difficulties in learning reading, writing and/or mathematics;
Know how to implement and evaluate preventive and remeditative interventions in the MTSS framework.
