Main Aims/Objectives
- Understand the role of funding in the context of research;
- Understand the process of preparing and submitting a research project for funding.
Specific Aims/Objectives
- Understand the importance of being a “fundable” researcher.
- Reflect on the importance of the research team and national and international collaborations in obtaining funding. - Understand writing processes for Funding Agencies.
- Know how to prepare a budget for funding.
Skills to be acquired
- Develop skills in preparing and submitting a research project for competitive funding.
- Learn about national and international funding institutions.

Combination of active and expository methods using problem-based learning.

1. Funding institutions and specificities (presentation of various initiatives/funding agencies);
2. Scientific component of the project;
2.1. Profile of a “fundable” researcher;
2.2. How to create national and international collaborations and their relevance for obtaining funding;
2.3. Understanding writing processes for Funding Agencies;
3. Financial component of the project.
Evaluation Type
Attendance and participation. Simulation of the process of submitting a research project to a funding agency: Preparation of a written research project.
