CONCURSO DA AGÊNCIA EUROPEIA DO AMBIENTE

A melhor proposta é premiada com EUR 500, e haverá outro prémio do mesmo valor, “prémio juventude”, para a melhor resposta do candidato que tenha nascido entre 1989-1995. Os participantes devem ter 18 anos e ou mais. Os prazo de candidatura termina a 30 de Setembro de 2013.

O objectivo do concurso é o de sensibilizar para o facto de cada Europeu gerar aproximadamente meia tonelada de lixo doméstico anualmente. Muito deste lixo é um recurso útil, todavia somente dois-quintos são reciclados de acordo com uma análise recente.

The competition, entitled Waste•smART, is inviting entries in three categories: photography, cartoons and short films. The best entry in each category will win EUR 500, and there will be a further EUR 500 ‘youth prize’, given to the best entry from someone born between 1989 and 1995. The competition is open to citizens of all the EEA member and co-operating countries. All participants must be 18 or older, and the submission deadline for entries is 30 September 2013. The competition aims to bring attention to the fact that each European generates approximately half a tonne of household waste on average every year. A lot of this so-called waste is actually a useful resource, but only two-fifths are recycled, according to a recent analysis.
