Main Aims/Objectives

Intend to provide psychology students with the tools needed tin a quantitative methodology

Specific Aims/Objectives

-Develop skills required for the practice of quantitative methodology in the field of psychological science
- It is intended to provide students with sufficient tools and knowledge that relate to the use of logic and methods of mathematics and statistics in the quantitative study

Skills to be acquired

- To demonstrate competencies of quantitative analysis

Teaching Procedures

In theoretical-practical lessons matter exposed is always accompanied by an illustration with real cases. The tutorials are intended for clarification of doubts, to the discussion of practices taught in theoretical lessons and practical application of materials to the SPSS system

Programme

1. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a factor:
i) Inter-subject (one way)
ii) Intra-subject (repeated measures)
2. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA)
3. Notion of linear correlation and its graphical representation
4. Simple linear regression and multiple
5. Non-parametric statistic: i) measures of Association ii) tests of differences

Evaluation Type

Continuous assessment with two tests.
