Main Aims/Objectives

Know and understand professional normative documents of psychologists.
Develop ethical principles and good professional psychologist exercise.

Specific Aims/Objectives

Knowing the ethical principles of psychologists.
Develop an applied ethical reasoning .
Know and understand regulatory documents of psychologist´s practice including the code of conduct of the Portuguese Psychologists Order.

Skills to be acquired

Knowledge of ethical principles founders of the Codes of Ethics .
Critical analysis of the Code of Ethics of the Portuguese Psychologists and its importance for the regulation of the profession of psychologist in different application domains;
Development of ethical reasoning in the psychology practice.

Teaching Procedures

Expository method supported in the powerpoint presentation .
Discussion of ethical dilemmas.
Carrying out work in small groups , presentation and preparation of the summary report.
