Main Aims/Objectives

To know how to work with 3D software.

Specific Aims/Objectives

To know how to work with the CAD software - SolidWorks.

Skills to be acquired

To create and model 3D objects with SolidWorks.
To work with image creation software and 3D software in creating photo montages.

Teaching Procedures

The classes will be subdivided in a theoretical part, where it will be used the expositive method, and in a practical part, where it will be used the demonstrative and the active methods.

Programme

1. Design with SolidWorks. Advanced tools.
a. Drawing with 3D sketches.
b. Design with Surfaces.
c. Design with Sheet Metal.

2. Design with image creation software and SolidWorks.
a. Creation of photo montages.

3. Exploded views.

Evaluation Type

The students will be evaluated by their behaviour in the class:
- Assiduity;
- Participation;
- Interest and commitment.

And also by the two tests made during the semester:
- Technical dexterity and the ability to conceive the project and to solve the problems that might arise;
- Quality of the design.
