Main Aims/Objectives
To know the architecture of a multimedia work.
To know how to conceptualize and create a multimedia project from scratch.
To kow how to structure data (text, images, animations, interactive elements) em a multimedia space.
To know how to create digital animations.
Specific Aims/Objectives
To know how to create digital animations.
To know how to work with Adobe Dreamweaver.
To know how to work with HTML and CSS in Dreamweaver.
Skills to be acquired
At the end of the year, the students should know:
– to animate digitally.
– to create a site using Dreamweaver.
– to understand the basics of HTML and CSS and to apply them in conjunction with Dreamweaver.
– to work with Flash and Dreamweaver in multimedia projects.
Teaching Procedures
The teaching will have a theoretical part where we will be using the expositive and the interrogative methods, and a practical part, where we will be using the demonstrative and the active methods.
Programme
– Introduction to the multimedia language.
Architecture of a multimedia project.
Concept of flowchart.
Concept of a digital portfolio.
– Interface design.
Concept of interface.
Organization of the information in a 2D interactive surface. Connection between the several elements (objects) – images, text, animations, interactive elements – between themselves and with the canvas.
The grid.
Hierarchy and scale.
Buttons, hot-spots and rollovers.
– To create sites using Adobe Dreamweaver.
Dreamweaver main tools, areas and menus.
To work with text.
To work with images.
To work with buttons and creating links.
To work with tables.
To plan and structure a site.
To work with HTML and CSS code.
– Digital animations.
Planning and creating a storyboard.
The principles of animation.
Evaluation Type
The students will be graded by their behaviour in classes (formative evaluation): assiduity; participation; interest and commitment. They will also be graded by works and tests made during the semester (summative evaluation): creative path from the idea to the final execution; technical skills and intellectual ability; originality; ability to communicate visually; quality of the design; knowledge of the programs; understanding of the contents administered during the course.
