Main Aims/Objectives

At present, the financial system in its various aspects is of utmost importance in many areas of daily life.
It is the subject of the discipline of the recognition of the legal structure of the financial system, in particular concerning "securities" - private financial law.
Relationship with the other curriculum subjects of public law and private law.

The aim of the study is that students apprehend the main legislative instruments, the more relevant jurisprudence and doctrine,

Skills to be acquired

Acquire skills in the identification of the most relevant schemes of financial law, analyze and fit in real situations prevailing legal regime and understand these regimes an interdisciplinary perspective.

Teaching Procedures

Theoretical-practical classes
Considering the objectives, the adopted teaching procedure consists on presentation of the main concepts of Financial Law and its legal framework; presentation and discussion of studies; selection of themes to be investigated.

Evaluation Type

Continuous Evaluation: Two writen tests. An essay/paper and presentation.
