Main Aims/Objectives

Present and discuss general knowledge and concepts in the areas of perception, attention, and Human Memory.
Develop research skills based on experimental methodology through the method of replication of experiences on topics covered in class.
Understand and critically analyse the contributions of Cognitive Psychology in the areas of perception, attention, and Human Memory.

Specific Aims/Objectives

TMastery of experimental methodology in the field of cognitive psychology.
Development of the ability to perform laboratory work in the context of Cognitive Psychology

Skills to be acquired

Ability to search and integrate information (comprehension, analysis, and synthesis).
Oral communication skills (conceptual accuracy) and writing skills (writing scientific reports on experiments conducted and a poster).
Ability to plan, conduct an experiment, and present to the scientific community (prepare and present a poster)
Ability to think critically and reflectively

Teaching Procedures

Oral lecture for theoretical consolidation and open discussion for students.
Participation in experiments from the field of experimental and cognitive psychology and corresponding evaluation and discussion of the results obtained.

Evaluation Type

Two written examinations during the semester.
Elaboration of a group work with experimental (or semi-experimental) methodology on the topics of perception, attention and Human Memory with presentation of a poster and writing of a scientific report.
