1. To teach how to model complex 3D forms (introductory level).
2. To teach how to render 3D solid models (introductory level).
Specific Aims/Objectives
1. To teach how to model with surfaces (introductory level).
2. To teach how to work with surfaces and 3D solid models.
3. To teach how to apply materials, lights and camera.
Skills to be acquired
At the end of the semester, the students should be able to:
1. Model using surfaces (introductory level).
2. Draw with 3D sketches.
3. Apply materials to a 3D model
4. Apply lights and camera in a 3D environment (introductory level).
5. Render 3D solid models.
7. Create 3D digital objects for Design projects.
Teaching Procedures
The classes will be subdivided in a theoretical part, where it will be used the expositive method, and in a practical part, where it will be used the demonstrative and the active methods.
Programme
1. Drawing using 3D sketches.
2. Modeling with surfaces.
3. Modeling complex shapes with solids and surfaces.
4. Applying materials to 3D models.
5. Creating a scenario and applying lights and camera in a 3D environment. Rendering.
Evaluation Type
During the semester the students will be assessed by practical works and two tests.

CAD Software - SolidWorks (or other 3D parametric software).
Software for renders (ex. Blender).
