Main Aims/Objectives

By being framed in the curriculum of a Master in Management, Quantitative Methods aims to provide students with an overview of the use of these tools in scientific research, as well as to develop skills to analyse and address issues of business sustainability, promoting the integration of ethical, social and environmental principles in management decisions.

Specific Aims/Objectives

It is intended to provide students with sufficient knowledge and tools related to the use of logic and methods of mathematics and statistics in the quantitative study of the environment, based on the collection, interpretation and quantification of data.

Skills to be acquired

Understand the techniques that enable data collection in Management.
Understand the differences between the various data analysis techniques.
Understand the utilisation of the results obtained.

Teaching Procedures

Theoretical concepts are developed and application exercises are solved on them. Students will have a set of exercises and cases to practice the acquisition of competences.

Evaluation Type

Continuous evaluation will be carried out in accordance with the University´s evaluation regime.

Teaching Resources

The lectures will be given using electronic means. Will be available a set of more practical exercises for students to acquire skills. All the material support classes will be loaded in the University´s e-learning.
